Fireplace makeover

Covering over the white brick.  First we got a thin piece of plywood and cut it to fit the fireplace.

We used these tile setting mats that cost $20 .  It handle very tight.

Then we cut picture molding trim to make boxes.

The tape is used to hold the trim in place while the liquid nails dried.
